Named Bulldog MVP was Chris LaDuke. The senior standout finished with a 39.1 scoring average this year. LaDuke's season average was fourth-best all-time in Chelsea boys' golf history.
"He was a tenth of a shot out of third place," said Chelsea coach Joe Ewald.
Paul Newhouse owns the school's best single season scoring average with a 37.6 in 2003. Second all-time is Chris Johnson with a 38.8 in 2003, while Brett Common has the school's third best season scoring average with a 39.0 in 2005.
Receiving the Bulldogs' Most Improved Award was senior Kyle George.
"Kyle's improvement made a difference on the team this season," Ewald said. "He locked himself very solidly into the fourth spot on team."
Earning the Coaches Award was senior Elliot Marshall.
"He's had a consistent career over his four years," Ewald said. "He's been a good leader for us."
Receiving the Southeastern Conference Sportsmanship Award was senior Drew Martin.
"He's just a great kid," Ewald said. "He was a good teammate."
This past season, the Bulldogs advanced to the Division 2 regional competition before bowing out of the state tournament.
Winning the Division 2 state title was Battle Creek Lakeview.
