Boy Scout flower sale

Boy Scout Troop 425 will hold its annual Flower Sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Chelsea State Bank headquarters, at the corner of Old US-12 and M-52 in Chelsea.
Hanging baskets, flats of annuals, perennials, and some vegetables will be displayed for sale. This is a perfect opportunity to buy a Mother's Day gift or flowers for your yard, and also support your local Boy Scout troop.
The Boy Scouts will also have a car wash and bottle return drive at the same location from noon to 4 p.m. and will be by donation. The bottle drive runs concurrently with the flower sale. Proceeds from the car wash and bottle drive will benefit Faith In Action.
Byrnes coffee hour in Dexter
State Rep. Pam Byrnes, D-District 52, will host her next coffee hour with constituents from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at the Foggy Bottom Coffee House, 7065 Dexter-Ann Arbor Road, Dexter.
The purpose of the coffee hour is for Rep. Byrnes to meet and talk with her constituents about issues they feel are important to them. It is an informal, free event open to the public.

High school open house
The community is invited to an open house for retiring Chelsea High School Principal Ron Mead.
This casual event will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. May 28 in the high school commons area.
Bring good stories and best wishes to celebrate Mead's 19 years in education here in Chelsea.
Garage sale fund-raiser
Great Lakes Rabbit Sanctuary is asking for donations of garage sale items to sell at its garage sale fundraiser.
The garage sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 16 through 18 at Great Lakes Rabbit Sanctuary, 8260 Judd Road in Whittaker, near Ypsilanti.

In the Chelsea Community Guide the incorrect date for the County Clean-Up Day was printed. The correct date was May 3.
