The future bride is the daughter of Geoffrey and Janell Gerstner of Dexter. She graduated from Dexter High School in 2001 and from Michigan State University in 2006 with a Bachelor's degree in English, Spanish and Journalism. Terry is currently attending NYU for a Master's in Publishing and is an Editorial Assistant at St. Martin's Press in New York City.
The future groom is the son of Floyd and Judy Layton of Roscommon. He is a 1997 graduate of Roscommon High School and a graduate of MSU with a Master's Degree in Accounting and three bachelor's degrees. He is employed with IBM in New York.
