"Once again, our running events, especially sprints and hurdles, led the charge to victory," said Chelsea coach Eric Swager. "Our 150 points is the most we have ever scored at this meet."

On April 24, visiting Chelsea beat county rival Dexter 71-66 in a dual meet.

"For the fifth straight year we had an extremely close meet with the Dreadnaughts," said Swager. "I told the athletes beforehand that it would come down to several key head-to-head match-ups, and it did. They (Dexter) were dominant in the distances and pole vault. Our hurdlers and throwers stepped up and scored big as we needed them to."
