Grapplers advance to regionals

The Chelsea Wrestling Club competed in the state district meet last week advancing 16 grapplers to the regional meet in Holt.

In the Peewee Division (4- to 6-years-old) Nate Bergman placed first in the 50-pound weight class for Chelsea. Shane Nold was fourth in the 37-pound division.
In the Bantam Division (7- to 8-years-old) Quinton Clark was first in the 55-pound weight group, while Mason Trinkle was sixth in the 55-pound weight class for Chelsea. Mikal Nelson placed third in the 65-pound weight division, while Joshua Dosey wrestled well in the 60-pound weight class for the local club.
In the Midget Division (9- to 10-years-old) Will Stubs was fourth in the 60-pound weight class, while Zach Bennett was fifth in the 80-pound weight group for Chelsea. Mason Bailey finished first in the 103-pound division, while Ryan Eisley was second. At 112-pounds, Kolton Savery was third, while Jacob Gaken was second at 120-pounds for the local club. Also wrestling well for Chelsea were Tristan Koch (60 pounds), Matthew Kimball (75 pounds) and Dominic Triveline (75 pounds).
In the Novice Division (11- to 12-years-old) Scott Moore placed fifth in the 85-pound weight class, while Ty Nelson was fifth in the 95-pound division and Daniel Wisniewski third in the 105-pound weight group for Chelsea.
In the Schoolboy Division (13- to 14-years-old) Andrew Nold was first in the 105-pound class, while Trevor Nold was third in the 95-pound weight class for Chelsea.
