Full service for charity

Employees of Rich Oil, 930 S. Main St., will offer old-fashioned full service to customers on Saturday to raise money for the Children's Miracle Network charity.

From 2 to 4 p.m. workers will pump gas and wash windshields for customers in exchange for donations.

Whitetails Unlimited event

Saturday is the deadline to purchase tickets for the Whitetails Unlimited fund-raising banquet May 3 at the Chelsea Fairgrounds on Old US-12 in Chelsea.

This event will feature a buffet dinner, auction, door prizes, sporting equipment, limited-edition wildlife and outdoor art, and WTU collectibles.

Tickets are $50 each, $30 for a spouse and $30 for juniors 15 and under. Tickets WILL NOT be sold at the door.

To order tickets call Don and Jamie Bollinger at 734-433-1831; Lee Patch, 734-475-1554; Keith Stevens, 517-787-6730; WTU Headquarters at 800-274-5471; or online at whitetailsunlimited.com.

Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner served at 7 p.m.

Proceeds will go toward local projects that uphold Whitetails Unlimited's mission of conservation.

Prom preview invitation

Chelsea High School's Prom is May 3 at 9 p.m., but the community is invited to preview the "Big City Lights" on May 2 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Washington Street Educational Center.

This is a change in location from previous years. The school is asking for a $1 donation to help cover the cost of prom.

Organizers send out a big thank you to the community for all the hard work and donations toward this beautiful prom.

'Ask Your Legislator'

Washtenaw County Farm Bureau will host an "Ask Your Legislator" session with state Sens. Liz Brater and Randy Richardville and state Reps. Pam Byrnes, Alma Smith, Rebekah Warren and Kathy Angerer.

Items of interest to agriculture, including agricultural water usage, will likely be discussed. The legislators will also welcome questions from the floor.

This meeting will take place at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Lodi Township Hall, 3755 Pleasant Lake Road.

If you have any questions please contact WCFB President Ken Siler at 734-428-7876 or kesiler@aol.com.
