Chelsea tankers finish 10th overall

The Chelsea Aquatic Club finished 10th overall at the winter championship meet March 15 through 16.

In the boys' eight-years-old and younger division, the 100 medley relay foursome of Tobin Moore, Zach Lee, Isaac Smedshammer and Wesley Wickens placed sixth in 1:36.27.
In the 100 freestyle, Lee finished eighth in 1:33.33, while Wickens was 16th in 1:56.16. Smedshammer was eighth in the 25 freestyle in 17.94, while Wickens was 13th in 18.69.
Smedshammer ended up seventh in the 25 butterfly in 23.88, while Moore was 12th in 30.44. Lee was fourth in the 50 freestyle in 41.61, while Wickens was 15th in 49.13. Smedshammer was fifth in the 25 breaststroke in 23.46, while Lee was ninth in 24.28.
In the girls' eight-years-old and younger division, the Chelsea quartet of Jenna Bach, Molly Olk, Anna Vanneste and Ellie Doman placed fourth in the 100 medley relay with a time of 1:27.57.
In the 100 individual medley, Vanneste was 15th in 1:54.08. Vanneste finished sixth in the 25 butterfly in 21.73. In the 50 freestyle, Bach was 11th in 43.40, while Molly Olk was 13th in 43.91 and Taylor Brodbeck 16th in 44.48.
In the 25 backstroke, Bach ended up 10th in 23.16, while Doman was 13th in 23.43. Molly Olk finished 11th in the 25 breaststroke in 25.36, while Bach was 13th in 26.28.
In the 100 freestyle relay, Alexa Moore, Quinn Dammeyer, Olivia Olk and Brodbeck placed 12th in 1:30.65, while Delaney Krause, Julia Zocharski, Annie Nichol and Carlie Hodel ended up 20th in 2:16.15.
In the boys' 9- through 10-year-old division, Lee Argir placed ninth in the 200 freestyle in 3:08.90, while Tony Nichol was 14th in 3:46.37 for Chelsea. In the 50 freestyle, Ben Valek was fourth in 31.98, while Max Lonnemo was ninth in 34.09.
Valek touched third in the 100 freestyle in 1:15.66, while Lonnemo was 14th in 1:23.53. In the 50 breaststroke, Valek was third in 45.09, while Drew Deppner was 14th in 51.72.
Matt McDaniels, Ben Kaemming, Tony Nichol and Argir placed 12th in the 200 freestyle in 3:07.43.
In the girls' 9- through 10-year-old division, the group of Claire Young, Karana Wickens, Maegen Hopkins and Josie Ewald finished 12th in the 200 medley relay with a clocking of 2:58.12.
Hopkins was ninth in the 100 individual medley in 1:25.07. Ewald ended up 11th in the 50 freestyle in 34.97. Ewald was eighth in the 50 butterfly in 39.61. Young ended up 13th in the 50 backstroke in 43.23, while Hopkins was fifth in the 50 breaststroke in 44.97.
Rachel Valek, Natasha McElrath, Alyssa Gray and Katie Lee placed 20th in the 200 freestyle relay in 3:06.66, while Lauren Olk, Meagan O'Hara, Fallon Mosier and Hannah Moore finished 21st in 3:06.80.
In the boys' 11- through 12-year-old division, the group of Nick Deppner, Blake Ortbring, Eric Spero and Will Wickens placed sixth in 2:15.17, while Dalton Spero, Sean Rohlman, Joey Ingall and Ben Thoms finished ninth in 2:31.25.
In the 200 freestyle, Thoms was 15th in 2:59.99. Deppner was 12th in the 100 individual medley in 1:21.19, while Ortbring was 16th in 1:29.66. Deppner ended up ninth in the 50 freestyle in 30.30, while Spero was 16th in 33.60.
Ortbring was 16th in the 50 butterfly in 41.39. Wickens was 13th in the 100 freestyle in 1:16.26, while Spero was 14th in 1:18.32. Deppner placed ninth in the 50 backstroke in 36.91, while Wickens was 11th in 39.48.
In the girls' 11- through 12-year-old division, the combo of Alexandra Duncan, Lindsey Hopkins, Katie Olsen and Mare Almhiemid finished 14th in the 200 medley relay in 2:36.69.
In the 100 individual medley, Hopkins was 11th in 1:18.08. Hopkins was 15th in the 50 freestyle in 30.61. Hopkins also was 12th in the 50 butterfly in 35.18.
In the boys' 13- through 14-year-old division, Blayde Ray placed 11th in the 200 individual medley in 2:56.76 for Chelsea. Ray was 14th in the 50 freestyle in 28.93.
Ray ended up 14th in the 100 freestyle in 1:06.20. Graham Rutherford was 15th in the 100 breaststroke in 1:27.95.
In the girls' 13- through 14-year division, Hannah Olsen placed ninth in the 200 freestyle in 2:23.85, while Claire Hanna Newbound was 16th in 2:29.36. Newbound was 13th in the 200 individual medley in 2:51.08.
Olsen was sixth in the 50 freestyle in 28.19. Newbound placed seventh in the 100 breaststroke in 1:25.49.
In the girls' 15- through 18-year-old division, Amanda Johnson finished ninth in the 200 freestyle in 2:25.85. Grace Benton touched 10th in the 200 individual medley in 2:52.82.
Johnson was 11th in 50 freestyle in 30.07. Johnson finished ninth in the 100 freestyle in 1:06.36, while Benton was 15th in 1:10.48. Benton was seventh in the 100 backstroke in 1:15.53. In the 50 freestyle, Casey Hirth was 16th in 28.85 for Chelsea.
In the boys' 15- through 18-year-old division, Andrew Wickens placed ninth in the 200 individual medley in 2:32.62, while Ross Argir was 10th in 2:37.06 and Philip Arbogast-Wilson 13th in 2:43.88.
Wickens was fourth in the 100 butterfly in 1:09.51. Argir finished 10th in the 100 freestyle in 59.75, while Wickens was 16th in 1:00.76. Arbogast-Wilson was 10th in 1:19.60. Argir was 11th in the 100 breaststroke in 1:21.95, while Hirth was 14th in 1:33.89.
