Chelsea grapplers pin foes at meet

The Chelsea Wrestling Club participated in a U.S.A. freestyle tournament in Stockbridge last Saturday.

In the Peewee Division, Shane Nold placed first in the 46-pound weight class, while Nolan Bergman was second at 37 pounds and Zachary Dosey third at 49 pounds for Chelsea.
In the Bantam Division, Liam Cooper was second in the 75-pound weight class, while Nate Bergman was third at 55 pounds, Russell Timmerman third at 60 pounds and Joshua Dosey third at 70 pounds. Also wrestling well for Chelsea was Mason Trinkle in the 60-pound class.
In the Midget Division, Matthew Kimball finished first in the 80-pound weight class, while Zach Bennett placed first at 87 pounds and Morgan Waggoner first at 103 pounds. Also wrestling well for Chelsea were Jacob Hornick at 80 pounds and Mikal Melson at 80 pounds.
In the Novice Division, Scott Moore placed second in the 100-pound weight class, while Ty Nelson was second at 112 pounds, Mason Bailey second at 120 pounds, Kolton Savery second at 140 pounds, Joe Slusser third at 120 pounds and Michael Radu fourth at 120 pounds. Also wrestling well for the local club was Ben Whitesall at 112 pounds.
In the Schoolboy Division, Anthony Radu and Trevor Nold both wrestled strong in the 98-pound weight class for Chelsea.
In the Cadet Division, Andrew Nold placed first in the 125-pound weight class, while Dave Slusser was third at heavyweight for Chelsea.
