Alberta Frances Wade
Chelsea
Alberta Frances Wade of Chelsea died Friday, March 28, 2008 at the Chelsea Retirement Community. She was 86. She was born May 6, 1921 in Canton, IL, the daughter of Albert and Mary Elizabeth (Bell) Hosking.
Alberta was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Women of Zion, Chelsea Women's Club, and the Chelsea Community Hospital Auxiliary. She was a former employee of General Fireproofing and Wayne County Friend of the Court. She was previously a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Detroit.
On February 17, 1962, she married Robert Wade in Detroit, and he survives.
Other survivors include a brother, William Hosking, three sisters, Christine Jurgensen, Mary Kress, Clara Mathie; a God-son, Thor Sandell; a God-daughter, Kierstin Sandell Drzal; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 31, at the Chelsea Retirement Community Chapel, with Rev. Doris Sparks officiating. Burial followed at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Chelsea. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church of Chelsea.
