The "Ride for March of Dimes" thunders off at noon May 3 from the Centurions Club House, 202 Main St. in Munith.
Registration begins at 10 a.m. Rain date is May 10.
At the present time, the route includes planned stops at the Wolverine Inn, Old US-12 and South Main Street in Chelsea; and the Pleasant Lake Inn, 11275 E. Pleasant Lake Road in Freedom Township.
Cost is $10 per rider or $15 per couple. All riders and non-riders are welcome. All proceeds go to the March of Dimes.
The mission of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.
"Have you ever asked an expectant parent what they were hoping for? How many of them have said, "Boy or girl, it doesn't matter as long as we have a healthy baby'?" said organizer Deb Stone. "Unfortunately for at least 500,000 families every year, their babies are born prematurely, causing disabilities and even death."
For more details or to make a donation, please contact Stone at 734-260-9018; or Centurions member KowBoy at 734-260-9019.
