Chelsea tankers lap Tecumseh

The Chelsea Aquatic Club competed against Tecumseh in its regular season finale earlier this month.

In the boys' 8-years-old and younger division, the Chelsea foursome of Tobin Moore, Zach Lee, Isaac Smedshammer and Wesley Wickens finished first in the 100 medley relay in 1:40.14.
In the 25 freestyle, Lee placed first in 18.68, while Smedshammer was second in 18.94, Wickens third in 23.34 and Moore fifth in 24.44. Kincade Vargas was sixth in 30.88, while Aaron McDaniels was seventh in 33.72 and Sean McGill ninth in 38.87 for Chelsea.
In the 100 freestyle, Lee was first in 1:40.79, while Smedshammer was second in 1:47.86, Moore third in 2:06.86, Wickens fourth in 2:14.71 and Vargas sixth in 2:37.27.
The girls' 8-years-old and younger 100 medley relay quartet of Jenna Bach, Molly Olk, Anna Vanneste and Taylor Brodbeck placed first in 1:34.07. The group of Quinn Dammeyer, Olivia Olk, Ellie Doman and Alexa Moore finished second in 2:07.85, while Julia Zocharski, Erin McDonnell, Carlie Hodel and Annie Nichol ended up third in 2:36.53.
In the 25 freestyle, Vanneste was first in 17.56, while Bach was third in 19.05, Molly Olk fourth in 19.21, Doman fifth in 20.77 and Olivia Olk sixth in 22.03. In the 100 freestyle, Vanneste was second in 1:40.74, while Molly Olk was third in 1:41.27, Doman fourth in 1:43.03, Bach fifth in 1:46.43, Brodbeck sixth in 1:59.74 and Moore seventh in 2:08.90.
In the 100 freestyle relay, Olivia Olk, Melina Almhiemid, Carlie Hodel and McDonnell bested the field placing first in 1:59.52. Annie Nichol, Zocharski and Dammeyer also competed for Chelsea stopping the clock in 2:29.85.
In the boys' 9- through 10-year-old division, the Chelsea combo of Aunic Goodin, Drew Deppner, Max Lonnemo and Sam Almhiemid finished first in 3:17.61. Nathan Brough, Miles Fischer, Roy Schmidt IV and David Trimas placed third in 4:19.57.
In the 50 freestyle, Ben Valek was first in 33.54, while Lonnemo was second in 34.91, Lee Argir fifth in 42.03, Almhiemid sixth in 42.87 and Goodin eighth in 45.02. In the 200 freestyle, Lonnemo was first in 3:11.17, while Almhiemid was third in 3:20.85, Argir fourth in 3:23.74, Deppner sixth in 3:32.27, Tony Nichol eighth in 3:51.50 and Ben Kaemming ninth in 4:04.68.
Valek, Nichol, Goodin and Schmidt IV finished first in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 3:02.63. Matt McDaniels, Gabe Raines, Ben Ingall and Fischer placed second in 3:40.74.
In the girls' 9- through 10-year-old bracket, the Chelsea team of Claire Young, Mariel Arbogast-Wilson, Maegen Hopkins and Josie Ewald finished second in the 200 medley relay in 2:51.93. Meryl McDonnell, Kaylin Zocharski, Camden Dammeyer and Sienna Vargas placed third in 3:09.38. Sydney Hodel, Karana Wickens, Hannah Almhiemid and Hannah Moore touched fourth in 3:43.13, while Meagan O'Hara, Alyssa Gray, Fallon Mosier and Lauren Olk placed fifth in 3:45.01.
In the 50 freestyle, Hopkins was first in 36.00, while Young was second in 36.30, Vargas third in 36.34, Ewald fourth in 37.14 and Arbogast-Wilson fifth in 37.27. In the 200 freestyle, Ewald was first in 2:56.92, while Hopkins was second in 3:00.20, Young fourth in 3:05.69 and Arbogast-Wilson fifth in 3:08.23.
In the 200 freestyle relay, Olk, Almhiemid, Mosier and Dammeyer finished first in 2:53.86. Gray, Zocharski, Wickens and McDonnell placed second in 3:08.49, while Natasha McElrath, Rachel Valek, Hodel and O'Hara ended up third in 3:21.40.
