Library closing for training

The McKune Memorial Library will be closed on Monday for staff in-service training. The library will reopen on Tuesday.
'Around Town with Linda'
"Around Town with Linda" will feature Rick Taylor, Realtor and world champion archer, beginning today.
"Around Town with Linda" features interviews conducted by the local host Linda Meloche.
The show airs daily on Channel 18 at 7:30 a.m., noon, 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
A new interview begins every Thursday evening and runs for a week. The guests all live or work in Chelsea, and everyone connected with the show is a volunteer.
Lunch at the Senior Center
The Chelsea Senior Center serves a hot lunch on weekdays at the "Taste of Home CafÈ," in the cafeteria at the Washington Street Education Center.
The menu consists of an entrÈe, salad bar, beverage and dessert. Cost is $5, or only $2.50 for people 60 and up, and open to everyone in the community.
The lunch is prepared by Chelsea School District dietary staff and served in a warm, friendly atmosphere.
To ensure adequate quantities, call the Senior Center 24 hours in advance at 475-9242.
Preschool parent workshop
The Chelsea Children's Co-operative Preschool is hosting a "Guidance and Discipline" workshop presented by Courtney Aldrich, at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 27 in the McKune Room at Chelsea's McKune Memorial Library.
Immediately following the workshop there will be an informative question-and-answer social with the preschool's executive board.
Board members will be on hand to answer questions regarding the operation and philosophy of the Chelsea Children's Co-operative.
Snacks and drinks will be available. Friends and family who are interested in the program are also welcome.
Preschool open house
The Chelsea Children's Co-operative will present its annual open house from noon to 2 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. March 6.
Drop by to see the facilities at 400 Congdon St. and meet the staff who help the children of our community take their first joyous steps into education.
Morning and afternoon programs are available for 3- and 4-year-olds.
