Douglas and Shirley (Bunn) Hart of Brighton will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 8, 2008. Their children are David Hart of Madison, Wis., Jennifer Anklesaria of Del Mar, Calif., and Margaret Narayan of Pinckney. They have two grandsons and five granddaughters. The couple was married Feb. 8, 1958 in Detroit. They have lived in the area for 50 years, 45 of those in Whitmore Lake. Doug was a geophysicist with Michigan State Highway Department, retiring in 1984. He enjoys fishing, gardening, being outdoors and his lifelong interest in chemistry. Shirley is a member of Questors and Antiquarians (both clubs for antique lovers) and a new DAR member this year. She is also an avid bingo player. Doug and Shirley were active square dancers with the Whitmore Lake group for many years.
