The 4th annual Chelsea School District Staff and Friends show, "A Little Night Magic," will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 23 in the Chelsea High School Auditorium. The cabaret style show features vocal and instrumental music acts, as well as a rock band, a storyteller and even some comedic entertainment. Several of Chelsea's own teachers, administrators, secretaries and custodians will perform. Students and their families attending the show in the past have enjoyed seeing a different side to their teachers as they display talents they don't often get the chance to showcase during school hours. Tickets for the show are $8 for adults and $5 for students. They are available at Chelsea Pharmacy and at the door.

Send a vet to DC
The Dexter American Legion & Pride and Honor Flights presents Johnny Walker and his Spare Parts Band Music Show from 8 p.m. until midnight on Feb. 24 at the American Legion Hall in Dexter. The show will feature great music to listen and dance to including old rock & roll and blues. Also on the schedule is John Conklin, who will be sketching portraits. Snacks will be provided and there will be a cash bar. Admission is $10.
The best part of the evening is where the money will go. Pride and Honor Flights will be taking World War II veterans on one day flights to see their Memorial in Washington D.C. at no charge to them.
"We believe they have already given enough," says Faye Wisely, one of the event's organizers. "We are fundraising to take 10 flights this year and 10 next year. This is a $200,000 project and we need everyone's help so if you know of a Michigan veteran who would like to take advantage of this opportunity please let us know and we will contact them."
